9月9日,南外方山分校孔小囡、吴晓艳老师在千人报告厅为“国培计划”高中教师培训班开设英语示范课。
On September 9th, Ms. Kong and Ms. Wu, gave a wonderful demonstration class to the National Training” program--for senior high teachers in the grand venue.
孔小囡老师首先开讲,她讲授的是《新概念英语3》第2课,她的课堂组织以学生为中心,授课风格自然且富有亲和力,口语地道流利。课堂的展现从学生的每日英文演讲开始,之后她邀请其他学生给出意见及建议。孔老师循循善诱,以问题引入该课的主题——钟楼。接着,孔老师通过精心设计的课堂活动让学生对课文进行快速阅读、大意归纳以及细节推敲。学生每次做出回答都会得到相应的鼓励及中肯的点评。课文阅读完成后,孔老师接着设计了角色扮演活动,以此帮助学生在模拟真实的环境中使用英语复习所学要点。最后是每课所得,既有基础性的记忆、信息查找性的问题,也有拓展性的开放型问题,保证每个学生学有所得,为新概念英语教学提供了新思路。
Ms. Kong first gave the demonstration class--lesson 2 of New Concept English 3. Her class was student-centered. She had a close affinity with the students and spoke English fluently. The presentation begins with the student’s daily report, after which she invited other students to make comments and suggestions. Ms. Kong patiently guided the students and introduced the theme of the lesson -- the clock tower. Then, Ms. Kong guided the students to skim the passage, summarize the main idea and elaborate on details with well-designed activities. When the students gave an answer, they got corresponding encouragement and pertinent comments. After reading the text, Ms. Kong then designed a role-play activity to help students review the key points in English in the situation environment. The next step was what you had learned from the lesson, which included basic knowledge, information retrieval, and open-ended questions. This design of the activity ensured that each student can learn something and provided new ideas for the New Concept English teaching.
吴晓艳老师带来了一节《English In Mind Starter》 第11单元Special Days的阅读课教学。吴老师通过让学生讨论中国传统文化节日引入主题,介绍苏格兰三大传统节日,最后通过比较中外节日异同点激发学生民族文化自豪感,同时要尊重其他国家文化。吴老师基于任务型教学的理念设计课堂,巧妙设问并融合听说读写,课堂氛围轻松活跃,为阅读课型教学起到了很好的示范。
Ms. Wu gave a reading defenestration class -- Special Days (Unit 11) of English In Mind Starter. She introduced the three traditional festivals in Scotland by letting students discuss the theme of Chinese traditional festivals. At last, the students’ national cultural pride was stimulated with comparison of the similarities and differences between Chinese and foreign festivals, and they were also educated to respect the culture of other countries. Ms.Wu designed the class based on the concept of task-based teaching, skillfully asked questions and integrated listening, speaking, reading and writing. The classroom atmosphere was relaxing and lively, which played a good demonstration role in reading teaching.
最后两位老师进行说课,孔老师结合自身教学经历围绕国际英语教学谈了看法,她指出我校融合南外英语教学特色,应结合孩子自身学情,让孩子既有扎实的基础,又能跟上先进语言教育和国际教育的趋势。吴老师结合授课内容谈了教学目标和教学步骤,希望孩子们在轻松的语言学习课堂上学到扎实的知识,同时引导学生对比中西两种文化,鼓励学生做具有中国灵魂、世界胸怀的现代英才。两位老师的公开课赢得现场老师的一致好评,很好地展现了我校教师风采,更为教师们创造一个互相展示、交流、学习的平台,促进学校教育教学水平再上新台阶。
At last, the two teachers gave lectures. Ms. Kong talked about the international English education based on her own teaching experience. She said that our school integrated the characteristics of English teaching of NFLS and the students’ own learning situation so that the students can not only have a solid foundation but also keep up with the trend of advanced language education and international education of NFLS. Ms. Wu talked about the teaching objectives and teaching steps in combination with her teaching content. She hoped that children could acquire solid knowledge in a relaxed language learning class, guided students to compare Chinese and Western cultures and encouraged them to be modern talents with Chinese soul and global vision. The demonstration classes of the two teachers got the praise from the on-site teachers, which showed the elegant demeanor of the teachers in NFLSFC and was helpful to create a platform for teachers to display, communicate, and learn from each other and to promote school education and teaching to a new level.
